What to do in Snow Closure

On behalf of all the children, staff, parents and governors of Alexandra Park Junior School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and thank you for visiting our website which I hope provides you with a flavour of life at our school.

We are a three form entry Junior School with approximately 359 children and 64 members of staff. Whilst our school is full, due to pressures for places in Oldham and Nationally, we welcome many different nationalities which creates a fantastic and exciting diverse community. We are fortunate in being placed next to a lovely park and we have the fantastic use of a huge playing field, we utilise these as often as possible. Our school has been open for 21 years and the school is currently embracing new changes in leadership.

We wish all our pupils to succeed and be the very best they can be in a safe, supportive and caring environment and we are a happy school where every child is valued. We are vigilant when it comes to Safeguarding and this is our highest priority as it is only in a safe, secure and happy environment that everyone can achieve their best. We promote ‘Can do’ attitudes and strong positive relationships and we work tirelessly to ensure that the teaching and learning at Alexandra Park Junior School is the best that it can possibly be. Our Curriculum meets the needs and interests of our children and is broad and balanced; many visits, visitors and special events enhance learning and make it active, focused and relevant and our extensive provision of clubs before and after school allow our children to further develop physically and socially. Collaboration and teamwork is recognised within our school community and no one is left alone. We learn together in a harmonious place of work. The Headteacher, staff and the Governing Body value the involvement of parents and encourage parents into the school at every opportunity. We are partners in your child’s education. Our Vision is simple ‘To Learn, Be Happy and Achieve our Best.’
