Family Fun Day
It was lovely to see so many staff and their families from across the trust enjoying our Pinnacle Family Fun Day, on the 6th July! Thank you to everyone who came and helped make it the best event it could be, celebrating our trust community and collaboration.
OPAL Gold Award
We have become one of the best schools in the country for gaining a GOLD award that proves we have succeeded in transforming playtimes for our children. They have the space to create, explore, dream and grow together and we wish to thank all those involved (including our families) in the commitment you have given to this transformation for our children. We will continue to develop to make the provision even more enjoyable.
Manchester 10k
On 18th May, Mrs Seabright, Mrs Griffin, Mrs Griffin’s daughter, Miss Nolan, Miss Akhtar, Mrs Hipkin, Miss Horrocks and Miss Begum took part in the Manchester 10 K raising money for the British Heart Foundation. We joined almost 100 members of staff from our Trust. Great dedication!
VE Day
On 8th May we marked the historic 80th anniversary of VE Day with our school community.
We thank all our families who contributed £1 on the day - where children could wear clothes in red, white and blue - that was donated to the RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) who provide life-long support to serving and ex-serving members of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependents through hardships, injuries and bereavements.
French Day
On 24th February we had French Day! We learnt lots about the French language and culture, and dressed in red, white or blue to mark the colours of France’s National Flag.
Number Day
As part of our commitment to making Maths exciting and high-profile in our school, we participated in Number Day on 7th February, raising money for NSPCC. Children came to school dressed in number or math-related costumes.
Reindeer Run
We took part in a Reindeer walk/run at Alexandra Park on Thursday 5th December.
We raised as much money as possible for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Half the amount raised also supported the children in school and will fund more lunchtime equipment.
